Governors
We have a strong and committed Governing Board who support the work of the Nursery School, Family Centre and Early Years Teaching Centre.
The Governing Board has a range of duties and powers and a general responsibility for:
- Promoting high standards of educational achievement in the Nursery School
- Ensuring that the Family Centre works with the communities across 160 square miles including Hungerford, Kintbury, Great Shefford, Inkpen, Welford, Lambourn, Enbourne and Boxford
- Developing the knowledge and skills of practitioners and teachers through the work of the Early Years Teaching Centre
The Full Governing Board meets a minimum of 3 times per year (once per term). There are four committees (HR & Sites, Teaching & Achievement, Finance and Children’s Centre) which also meet a minimum of once per term, prior to the Full Governing Board. The Governing Board is skills-based and draws its membership from Parents, Local Authority, Community and those Specialist Knowledge. The approved minutes of meetings are available to read in the Nursery School Office
