Welcome

The Pre-Nursery and Nursery School are staffed by exceptionally qualified Teachers, Nursery Nurses and Assistants, who are skilled and sensitive in promoting children’s learning and development.  We have achieved outstanding judgements in our Ofsted Inspections in 2006/2007, 2009/2010, 2012/2013, 2016/17 and our latest October 2021.

Hungerford Pre-Nursery and Nursery School is one of only two maintained by West Berkshire Local Authority.  We accept children who are 2, 3 and 4.  We do not have a catchment area.  We offer exceptional facilities and resources.  Everyone has an opportunity to experience our woodlands school.

As a Centre of Excellence for Early Years, we offer regular workshops for parents and are one of 16 DfE Early Years Teaching Centres nationwide training Early Years teachers and practitioners.  We are a Partner in the Thames Valley Early Years Stronger Practice Hub.
