PEEP- Families Learning Together
Peep supports parents and carers with children aged birth to five in encouraging your child’s learning and development. You can make a real difference just by talking, singing, sharing books and playing together. Come along – you and your child can make friends, share ideas and have fun through singing, story and activities.
Our Peep groups are currently running in Hungerford @The Croft Hall on Thursdays 9.00-11.15am and Lambourn @Lambourn British Legion on Wednesdays 9.00-11.15am.
Research shows that the biggest influence on children’s learning, behaviour and their social/emotional development is the home learning environment – i.e. what they do with their family, from birth onwards.
The key activities that make a positive difference are: singing songs and nursery rhymes, reading with their parent/carer, visiting the library, playing with letters and numbers, painting and drawing, going out and about, and playing with their friends at home.
From November onwards our next theme will be Health and Physical Development. We will be exploring fun foods, physical activities, how are children grow and develop plus lots more…..
